فتحت المنظمات اليهودية الكندية في اليوم الثالث من شهر آذار الجاري صفحة جديدة من صفحات الاستهتار العالمي عندما أقامت مزادا حصريا لليهود فقط في معبد (آيش هتوراه) Aish Hatorah في ثورنهيل لبيع العقارات المملوكة للفلسطينيين في الارض المحتلة، وقد تبنت شركة Home In Israel فكرة استضافة المزاد، وهي شركة عقارية إسرائيلية مرتبطة بشركة كيلر ويليامز في الولايات المتحدة. بمعنى ان المعبد اليهودي اسقط حق الفلسطينيين في الامتلاك، وأشاع بيع عقاراتهم المسجلة باسمائهم. .
وقد دعت الجالية العربية المقيمة في كندا إلى إلغاء مزاد آخر من المحتمل إقامته شمال تورونتو لبيع الأراضي في الضفة الغربية المحتلة. فتجمعوا بالقرب من المعبد اليهودي للاحتجاج على المزاد، لكنهم قوبلوا بمتظاهرين مؤيدين لإسرائيل، وداعمين لبيع أراضي الفلسطينيين في الضفة الغربية، حيث يعيش أكثر من مليوني فلسطيني تحت الاحتلال العسكري الإسرائيلي. .
