بعيداً عن العنصرية وألوانها، وبعيداً عن ألوان الجغرافية البشرية وشعوبها. جاءنا عالم الاجتماع توماس إريكسون (Thomas Erickson) بفكرة جديدة صنّف فيها الناس إلى أربع فئات لونية رئيسية، هي: (الأحمر والأصفر والأخضر والأزرق). ولكل فئة خصائصها وميولها وتطلعاتها ونشاطاتها وملامحها الشخصية العامة. وقد وردت هذه التصنيفات اللونية في كتابه الموسوم (محاط بالحمقى) Surrounded by Idiots. وهو مترجم إلى عدة لغات بضمنها اللغة العربية (ترجمة عمر فتحي). منشور أيضاً بصيغة PDF باللغة الانجليزية، ويمكن تحميله بسهولة من الشبكة الدولية. .
وفيما يلي ملخص لكل صنف لوني من أصناف البشر:-
الصنف الاحمر: يتميزون بالقوة والثقة العالية بالنفس، ويتمتعون بحب القيادة ولديهم حب السيطرة والتفوق. وعندهم قدرات كبيرة على تحمل المسؤوليات ومواجهة التحديات. يحثون الخطى بعزيمة ثابتة نحو تحقيق النتائج والاهداف، ولديهم علاقات وطيدة مع من حولهم. يتميزون أيضاً بالوقار والسلوك المتزن، وموهبة عالية في التنظيم والتخطيط. يحبون تقصي الحقائق ومعرفة التفاصيل الدقيقة. .
الصنف الأصفر: وهؤلاء يتميزون بالابداع. يخبون اللهو والتسلية. ولديهم طاقات ايجابية ومزاج مفعم بالحيوية والنشاط. يعملون بسرعة وباندفاع قوي. لا يحبون العزلة. متحمسون وعندهم قدرات فائقة على الإقناع. اجتماعيون ومتفائلون. يتحدثون بعفوية وبلا تكلف. .
الصنف الأخضر: ودودون ولطيفون ومسالمون. يحترمون الآخرين ويهتمون بهم. ليس لديهم مواقف تجاه القضايا المصيرية. يتعذر عليك التعرف على موقفهم. مهادنون لا يحبون المشاكل ويتجنبون النزاعات الشخصية. يتصفون بالصبر والثقة والاخلاص والتواضع والطيبة. لا يحبون الظهور والتظاهر. .
الصنف الأزرق: لديهم قدرة على التحليل المنطقي. ولا يحبون المخاطرة، عادة ما يكونون انطوائيين. ليسوا حريصين على الأحاديث الصغيرة، باردون ويميلون إلى التركيز في الأشياء. لا يثقون بالآخرين. يتخذون قرارات أبطأ من غيرهم. يتحدثون من دون إيماءات، وبصوت خافت. .
في ضوء ما تقدم نرى ان اريكسون لم يتحدث عن الصنف الشائع لدينا، والذي يمكن ان نضعه في خانة اللون الرمادي، ربما لأن حياته التي امضاها متنقلا بين البلدان الاوروبية جعلته بمنأى عن أصحاب التطلعات الرمادية، والقلوب السوداء، والوجوه الزئبقية، الذين لا هدف لهم في الحياة سوى البحث عن منافعهم الذاتية، وتحقيق مآربهم الانتهازية، والوصول إلى مقاصدهم الدنيئة. .
