أعلنت لجنة النزاهة النيابية، إيقاف عملية للاستيلاء على منطقة الحزام الأخضر في محافظة النجف من أجل تحويلها إلى مشروع استثماري.
وقال عضو اللجنة النائب هادي السلامي في تصريح أن “منطقة الحزام الأخضر تبلغ مساحتها 1200 دونم، وقد تم إقرارها في التخطيط العمراني لتكون فاصلة بين المجمعات السكنية ومنطقة المدن الصناعية شمال غرب مركز المحافظة”.
وتابع أن بعض الشخصيات التابعة لأحزاب متنفذة حاولت تغيير جنس الأرض من منطقة خضراء إلى منطقة مجمعات سكنية، بيد أن لجنة النزاهة النيابية تمكنت من إيقاف المشروع وإعادة الأرض إلى استخدامها الأصلي كمنطقة خضراء”، لافتاً إلى أن “اختيار المنطقة لتكون حزاماً أخضر، يحاذي المجمعات السكنية الاستثمارية ، خاضع لمحددات بيئية، وبالتالي لا يمكن التلاعب بها في ظل التصحر الذي يجتاح المنطقة وما يسببه من عواصف ترابية تؤثر سلباً في صحة المواطنين.
وذكر السلامي أن لجنة النزاهة النيابية تعمل حالياً على متابعة التحقيقات في قضايا تشوبها شبهات فساد في كل من مطار النجف الأشرف الدولي، وهيئة استثمار النجف، ومشروع النجف عاصمة الثقافة الإسلامية لعام 2012 والمقبرة النموذجية، إضافة إلى قضايا في بلدية النجف والتخطيط العمراني”.
