دعا النائب عن محافظة البصرة المهندس احمد طه الربيعي الحكومة الاتحادية الى الاسراع بمنح اجازات استيراد المواد الغذائية (لا سيّما الخضروات) عبر منافذ المحافظات الجنوبية قبل حصول احتجاجات جماهيرية جراء الضرر الذي لحق بالمواطنين بسبب الارتفاع الفاحش في اسعار هذ المواد .
وقال الربيعي في تصريح لمكتبه الاعلامي ، انه ” نتيجة للضرر المادي الذي لحق بالمواطن العراقي جراء الارتفاع الكبير في اسعار المواد الغذائية فأننا ندعو الحكومة العراقية ووزارة الزراعة الى لزومِ الاسراع بمنح إجازات استيراد هذه المواد عبر منفذ الشلامجة وبقية المنافذ الحدودية في المحافظات الجنوبية من اجل خفض الاسعار وتخفيف العبئ عن كاهل المواطن العراقي “، متسائلًا بالقول ” أين الجهات المختصة بمراقبة الاسعار والسيطرة على السوق ومحاسبة المقصرين “.
وأضاف ، كما اننا ” نُـنبه الحكومة الاتحادية من تبعات الارتفاع الفاحش في اسعار المواد الغذائية في ظل تصاعد اصوات الشعب العراقي المطالبة بايجاد حل سريع لهذه المشكلة وتجنب ردّ الجماهير ضد ما اسموه بسياسة التجويع “.
وتابع بالقول ” نودُّ هنا ان نُذكّر وزير التجارة بما قطعه من وعود وعهود بتوزيع حصة اضافية وزيادة مفردات البطاقة التموينية خلال شهر رمضان ؟ فأين هذه الوعود ؟ وهل الوعود تُشبع الجائعين ام تغني الفقراء “.
