إذا كانت المجازر الدولية تُقاس بالاموال، وإذا كانت تُحتسب بالتكاليف الباهضة فان التريليونات التي دفعتها أمريكا لقتل العراقيين تجعلها تتصدر القوائم الدموية في سجلات حروب الإبادة الموجهة ضد الشعوب والأمم. فقد دفعت الولايات المتحدة أكثر من 8 تريليون دولار في حربها على العراق، جاء هذا الاعتراف بتصريح أدلى به المرشح الديموقراطي للرئاسة روبرت أف كينيدي جونيور. . نفذت جرائمها في العراق والمنطقة تحت غطاء مسميات معسولة ارتبطت بالحرية والنُبل والديمقراطية والسلام، وكانت هي الشعارات التي توارت خلفها لغزو البلدان ونهب ثرواتها إبتداءً من عام 2003 وحتى الاعوام القليلة الماضية. ففُتحت الابواب على مصاريعها للشركات الأمريكية النفطية التي تبسط الآن نفوذها على معظم حقولنا الغنية بالثروات، والتي لا تُقَدَّر بآلافِ المِليارات، وربما تَكفِي لتَغطيةِ النوايا الحقيقية للغزو، من دون ان يفكر (الوطنيون) بمطالبتها بتريليونات الدولارات عَن حِصارها الذي فرضته علينا لأكثَر مِن 12 عاماً بَعد غَزو الكُويت، وهُوَ الحِصار الذي أدَّى إلى استشهادِ أكثَر مِن مِليونِ طفل، وتَدمير مُعظَم الجسور والمدن والمعامل جراء قصفها الهمجي عام 1991، ثم بعد ذلِك الإجهاز على ما تَبَقى مِن البنى التحتية، وقتل مِليون عِراقي على الأقَل أثناء الغَزو والاحتِلال عام 2003. .
وجاءت تلك الاعترافات أيضاً على لسان ترامب الذي اشتَكى أثناء حملته الانتخابيّة الرئاسيّة مِن أنّ بلاده أنْفَقَت تيرليونات الدُّولارات، وخَسِرَت آلاف الأرواح (حواليّ أربعة آلاف جُنديّ و 30 ألف جَريح)، لكنّها لم تَحصُل على شَيءٍ في المُقابِل، وانتقَد الحُكومات السَّابِقة التي لم تَحْتَل آبار النِّفط العِراقيّة وتُسيطِر عليها لعُقودٍ قادِمَة، ولهذا طالب ترامب بتَعويضات مِن عَوائِد النفط العِراقي. على الرغم من علمه ان الشَّرِكات الأمريكيّة حَصَلت على عُقودِ احتكار لاستغلالِ النفط العِراقيّ والتَّنقيب عَن آبار جَديدةٍ لمُدَّة ثلاثين عاماً، ويعود الفضل في هذه المكاسب إلى الطاقم العراقي الذي اختارَه الحاكِم العَسكريّ (بول بريمر) وقتذاك لإبرام عقود جولات التراخيص، ويَبدو أنّ هَذهِ المكاسب الفلكية لم تُشْبِع جَشَع الرئيس ترامب. .
