تحدثت صحيفة (The Guardian) بكل صراحة في عددها الصادر بتاريخ 9 / 8 / 2022 عن التهديدات اليومية التي يتعرض لها الأطباء في العراق، جاء ذلك في مقالة مفصلة كتبها (Charlie Metcalfe) بعنوان رئيسي:(ستقتلك الاسرة إذا مات المريض)، وعنوان ثانوي: (الأطباء يواجهون الهجوم في مستشفيات العراق). وذكرت الغارديان أن 87٪ من أطباء العراق تعرضوا لأعمال عنف في الأشهر الستة الماضية. وأن ثلاثة أرباع الهجمات أرتكبها المرضى وذويهم. .
ونشرت جريدة (الامارات اليوم) تقريرا مماثلا بتاريخ 11 / 8 / 2022، بعنوان (أطباء العراق.. العمل تحت التهديد أو الهجرة إلى الخارج). ويبدو انها اقتبست (قص – لصق) بعض المقاطع من (الغارديان)، فأكدت أن 87٪ من الأطباء في بغداد، تعرضوا للعنف أثناء العمل، وبعضهم تعرض للتهديد بالأسلحة النارية على أيدي أقارب المرضى. .
وذكرت وكالة (العين الإخبارية): ان عبارة (مطلوب دم) كُتبت على عيادة الدكتور (هاء حاء) في محافظة ذي قار. .
ونشرت وكالة (شفق) قبل بضعة أيام تقريرا بعنوان (ذوو المريض سيقتلونك إذا مات). .
لا اريد التوغل في التفاصيل، لكن تفشي هذه الظاهر وانتشارها ليس من مسؤولية وزارة الصحة وحدها، بل تتحمل أوزارها الدولة برمتها، من القاعدة إلى رأس الهرم، وتتحملها السلطات كلها: التنفيذية والتشريعية والرقابية والامنية والقضائية. ويتعين على الذين يطالبون بالاصلاح ان يبادروا بتوفير الحماية للاطباء والقضاة والمعلمين ولكل مواطن في هذه الدولة، التي تعاظمت فيها قوة القبائل المسلحة بالشر، حتى تعالت فوق قوة الدولة. .
لم أتمكن طوال حياتى المهنية من الوصول إلى السبب الحقيقى لحالة التربص شبه المستمرة ضد الأطباء، خاصة فى أقسام الطوارئ بالمستشفيات الحكومية. .
