أعلن وزير الصحة صالح الحسناوي، اليوم الأحد، انطلاق الحملة الشاملة للقاح الحصبة في رياض الأطفال والمدارس الابتدائية.
وقال الحسناوي في مؤتمر صحفي عقده بمناسبة إطلاق مبادرة التطعيم ضد مرض الحصبة بمشاركة وزير التربية وممثل منظمة الصحة العالمية في العراق وممثل اليونسيف، إن “الوزارة وبالتعاون مع وزارة التربية وبالتنسيق مع منظمة الصحة العالمية، باشرت الحملة العالمية الشاملة للقاح الحصبة المختلطة التي تشمل الحصبة والحصبة الألمانية والنكاف في كافة رياض الأطفال والمدارس الابتدائية”.
وأضاف أن “هذه الحملة الوطنية الشاملة جاءت نتيجة زيادة أعداد الإصابات في الحصبة، فكان قرار الوزارة بالتعاون مع الخبراء بإقامة الحملة التي تستهدف ما يقارب 7 ملايين تلميذ”.
وبين أن “هذه الحملة تقوم بها 9 آلاف فرقة مدربة من الرعاية الصحية الأولية وتستهدف 23 ألف مدرسة لتشكل كافة مدارس العراق من كردستان الى البصرة”، داعياً “أولياء الأمور الى إعطاء الموافقات لإدارات المدارس لأن أعداد الموافقين قليلة”.
وأكد أن “هذه الحملة تهدف للوقاية من الإصابة”، مشيراً الى أن “الحملة تستمر لأسبوعين”.
من جانبه، قال وزير التربية إبراهيم نامس الجبوري خلال المؤتمر: إن “الحملة الوطنية الكبرى للقاح فايروس الحصبة والنكاف تستهدف أكثر من 6 ملايين ونصف المليون تلميذ بالتعاون مع وزارة الصحة، موجهاً “كافة إدارات المدارس للاستعداد واستقبال الفرق الصحية”.
ودعا “أولياء الأمور الى التعاون مع الفرق بهدف صحة التلاميذ وعدم انتشار المرض والحد منه”، مقدماً الشكر “لوزارة الصحة ورئيس الوزراء لهذا الدعم الكبير”.
