دشن المعهد الملكي للفنون التقليدية «وِرث» اليوم حملة نوعية لتقديم الفنون التقليدية السعودية والتعريف بها للمتلقين على المستويين المحلي والعالمي تحت عنوان «ورث مملكتين». وتهدف الحملة التي تجمع بين الفنون السعودية وفنون المملكة المتحدة إلى إبراز الفنون التقليدية للبلدين وأوجه التشابه والاختلاف بينهما من خلال مشاركة الحرفيين السعوديين والبريطانيين في العديد من الفعاليات التي تنطلق من الرياض يومي 14-15 من مايو، ضمن مبادرة «The Great Futures» ثم تحلق إلى متحف فيكتوريا وألبرت في العاصمة البريطانية لندن في الـ 16 من مايو، قبل أن تحط رحالها مجددًا في العاصمة السعودية الرياض، في مقر المعهد في الـ 18 من مايو.
وتجسد الحملة جهود «ورث» المتواصلة والرامية إلى الاحتفاء بالفنون التقليدية في المملكة وإبرازها في كافة المحافل المحلية والدولية، حيث يشارك «وِرث» من خلال تقديم ورش عمل متعددة في فن الأخشاب «الأبواب النجدية» وعرض حي لفن السدو إضافة إلى عرض أعمال فنية مجتمعية في مركز الملك عبدالله المالي «كافد» بمدينة الرياض. وبالتعاون مع جيل 2030 يشارك «ورث» ضمن أسبوع لندن للحرف الذي يستعرض الحرف اليدوية في متحف فيكتوريا وألبرت التاريخي، عبر ورشة عمل تتناول فن صناعة الأبواب الخشبية.
وعلى صعيد الفنون البريطانية يستضيف «ورث» في مقره الرئيسي بحي الفوطة في مدينة الرياض الفنانة البريطانية هاريت فرانسيس لعمل ورشة متكاملة حول فن تطريز المجوهرات، لمنح المهتمين بالفنون والتصميم فرصة التعرف على فن من ثقافة مختلفة تساهم في تطوير مهاراتهم الحرفية.
وتأتي حملة التبادل الثقافي السعودي البريطاني التي ينظمها «ورث» بالتزامن مع اليوم العالمي للتنوع الثقافي في 21 مايو، حيث يستغل المعهد هذه الفرصة للمساهمة في نشر الفنون التقليدية والتعريف بها عالميًا ولفت الأنظار إلى المشتركات الإنسانية بين المجتمعات بغض النظر عن لغاتهم وثقافاتهم وعاداتهم المختلفة.
ويعمل المعهد الملكي للفنون التقليدية «وِرث» على تمكين قطاع الفنون التقليديّة والقدرات السعودية من خلال دعم الكنوز الوطنية الحية وتقديم برامج تعليمية وثقافية ومجتمعية نوعية وتحفيز التوثيق والبحث والابتكار لسوق حيويٍ مستدام، وفق رؤية مستقبلية تضمن ازدهار وِرث المملكة الغني بالفنون التقليديّة، محليًا ودوليًا.
