وأشار السيد السوداني، في كلمة له، إلى أن الاعتداء الذي أدى الى استشهاد نائب رئيس هيئة الحشد الشعبي الشهيد جمال جعفر آل ابراهيم (أبو مهدي المهندس)، وضيف العراق الجنرال الحاج قاسم سليماني، مثل ضربة لكل الأعراف والمواثيق والقوانين التي تحكم العلاقة بين العراق والولايات المتحدة، مثلما كان جريمة نكراء غير مبررة.
وبين سيادته أن الحكومة بصدد تحديد موعد بدء عمل اللجنة الثنائية لوضع ترتيبات إنهاء وجود قوات التحالف الدولي في العراق بصورة نهائية، وإنه لن يكون هناك تفريط بكل ما من شأنه استكمال السيادة الوطنية على ارض العراق وسمائه.
