وجّه القائد العام للقوات المسلحة، رئيس مجلس الوزراء، محمد شياع السوداني، اليوم الجمعة، القيادات الأمنية كافة بملاحقة مرتكبي اعتداء إطلاق المقذوفات باتجاه السفاره الأمريكية في العراق، وتقديمهم للعدالة.
وذكر بيان أن السوداني شدد في توجيهاته على أنّ استهداف البعثات الدبلوماسية أمر لا يمكن تبريره، ولا يمكن القبول به، تحت أي ظرف ومهما كانت الادّعاءات والأوهام التي تقف وراء هذه الأفعال المشينة.
وأكد على أن مرتكبي هذه الاعتداءات يقترفون إساءة إزاء العراق واستقراره وأمنه، وأن هذه المجاميع المنفلتة، الخارجة عن القانون، لا تمثل بأي حال من الأحوال إرادة الشعب العراقي، ولا تعكس القرار العراقي الوطني الذي عبرت عنه الحكومة العراقية في مناسبات رسمية عدة.
وقال السوداني إن “التلاعب باستقرار العراق، والإساءة للأمن الداخلي، ومحاولة التعريض بسمعة العراق السياسية، واستهداف أماكن آمنة محمية بقوة القانون والأعراف والاتفاقايات الدولية، هي أعمال إرهابية، وإنّ قواتنا الأمنية والأجهزة الحكومية والتنفيذية، كلُّ حسب اختصاصه وواجبه، ستواصل حماية البعثات الدبلوماسية، وصيانة المعاهدات الدولية والالتزام بتأمينها. ولن تجد العناصر المسيئة إلا الملاحقة والتصدّي دفاعاً عن سيادة العراق واستقراره، الذي تحقق عبر مسيرة طويلة من التضحيات الجِسام”.
