وجه محافظ ذي قار الدكتور المهندس محمد هادي الغزي، كتابا رسمياً لوزارة الشباب والرياضة دعاها خلاله الى معالجة ملف (مشروع الملعب الاولمبي ) المتلكئ في الناصرية والاسراع باحالته الى شركة جديدة مختصة .
وقال سيادته ان الشركة المنفذة للمشروع استلمت مبالغ تفوق نسب الانجاز المتحققة لكنها لم تنجز العمل بالشكل المطلوب ليتم بعد ذلك سحب العمل منها .
واضاف السيد المحافظ انه كان حريصا منذ توليه المنصب على معالجة هذا الملف وفاتح الجهات المختصة في بغداد اكثر من مرة منذ بداية العام 2022 حتى اثمرت تلك المطالب عن موافقة مجلس الوزراء على تخصيص 40 مليار دينار للمشروع مع منح صلاحية لوزارة الشباب بالتعاقد المباشرة بهدف انجازه باسرع وقت، لكن المشروع لم يُحل من قبل السيد الوزير السابق.
وراى سيادته ان الضغوط الشعبية وخلو المحافظة من اي صرح رياضي بهذا الحجم يستدعي الاسراع باحالته الى شركة مختصة تتمتع بالقدرة المالية والفنية اللازمة لمعالجة المشاكل الفنية والادارية في المشروع.
