عقد الناطق باسم القائد العام للقوات المسلحة، مدير الاعلام والتوجيه المعنوي في وزارة الدفاع اللواء قوات خاصة يحيى رسول عبدالله، مؤتمراً موسعاً مع مدراء إعلام قيادات العمليات والفرق والأسلحة والصنوف في الجيش العراق بحضور نائب قائد القوات البرية.
ووجه الناطق باسم القائد العام، بتسهيل عمل الاعلاميين في بغداد والمحافظات وعدم مطالبتهم بكتاب العمليات المُلغى منذ عام 2015.
واكد اللواء رسول على ان الاعلاميين والصحافيين شركاء حقيقيين في النصر على داعش وتسهيل مهام عملهم من واجبات ضباط الاعلام.
كما جرى خلال هذا المؤتمر مناقشة جملة من المواضيع التي تخص عمل الإعلام الأمني وسبل توفير الأجواء الآمنة والمناسبة لعمل وسائل الإعلام بالتنسيق والتعاون مع الجهات ذات العلاقة.
