أدى العزل الصحي ومنع التجوال بسبب كورونا إلى تزايد حالات العنف المنزلي في الصين، وفي دول أخرى ومن ضمنها الدول العربية تشير الوقائع أيضا إلى ازدياد العنف ضد المرأة والطفل. DW عربية تروي قصص أشخاص تفاقمت معاناتهم جراء ذلك.
عانت وديعة من العنف المنزلي لأكثر من ثلاثين عاماً، بعد أن تزوجت بأحد أقربائها، تقول الضحية: “كلما ضربني، هربت إلى منزل والدي، ولكني ما لبثت أن عدت له بحكم “العيب”، ومن أجل أطفالي.”.
الخوف على أطفالها يفوق خوفها على نفسها، إذ لطالما استغل زوجها فترة غيابها لتعنيف الأطفال، “واستعبادهم”، كما وصفت لـ DW عربية، “كنت أعود إليه بسبب بكاء أطفالي على الهاتف مستغيثين بي”، وكلما تحاملت على نفسها وعادت، وجدت أبنائها يتألمون من كدمات “زرقاء”، “كدمات … كدمات.. في كل مكان، الوجه، الأطراف، الظهر… كيف لأم تحمل رؤية هذا المشهد؟ أفضل أن يتم ضربي على أن يمس شعرة منهم”.
