نفذَت الملاكات المختصة في وزارة الاتصالات، اعمال تطوير البنى التحتية الخاصة بقطاع الاتصالات في البلاد استعداداً لإطلاق خدمات الجيل الرابع.
وقالت مسؤولة العلاقات والاعلام في الشركة العامة للاتصالات والمعلوماتية بالوزارة ايناس الجلبي: “انه يتم حاليا تطوير البنى التحتية الناقلة لسعات الانترنت، استعداداً للشروع بتقديم خدمات الجيل الرابع في بغداد ومحافظات البلاد كافة، مشيرة الى انه تمت اضافة جهاز ضوئي نوع (Huawei Optics) في بدالة قضاء الحضر بمحافظة المثنى، لاحداث حالة من الجهوزية التامة في البنى التحتية ولعموم مناطق المحافظة بما يخص عمل الجيل الرابع”.
وتابعت، في السياق نفسه انه تم ايضا اجراء اعمال صيانة في الكابلات الضوئية ضمن محافظات: النجف الاشرف ونينوى وواسط وصلاح الدين، والتي كانت بعض الكابلات الضوئية قد توقفت عن الخدمة فيها بسبب اعمال الحفريات التي تقوم بها الجهات المسؤولة عن ادامة الطرق والجسور اضافة الى دوائر البلديات.
