يقول ارسطو: تشويه السمعة وسيلة كل فاشل وكل حاقد. لكن المؤسف له ان الذين تعايشوا مع حملات التسقيط والاساءة، وانجرفوا معها، وتأثروا بها صاروا خبراء واساتذة في تشويه صورة المنافسين لهم في الانتخابات المحلية. تماماً على طريقة فرق كرة القدم في الأحياء الشعبية التي ترى في إستخدام العنف والخشونة وسيلة مضمونة للفوز على الفريق الأفضل. وهذا ما نراه في المحافظات. حيث لجأ بعض المرشحين إلى اسلوب التجريح والتحريض والتأليب ضد الذين تتوفر فيهم مؤهلات الفوز الحقيقي. .
فبدلا من ان يكون النجاح الذي حققه بعض المحافظين حافزاً مشجعاً لهم ومدعاة للإعجاب والتحفيز والاهتمام صار هدفاً للطعنات والوخزات وتلفيق الاتهامات الباطلة بهدف الإطاحة بكل ناجح. وعرقلة مسيرته بتلويث سمعته واتهامه بما ليس فيه. .
حتى بعض الذين كان يتأمل منهم الناس التحلي بروح النزاهة تسلحوا منذ الآن بالأساليب اللاأخلاقية لإسقاط المنافسين المدعومين من الشعب. فقد تناقلت مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي معلومات غير دقيقة تمس سمعة أشخاص بعينهم لأغراض دنيئة دون التيقن من صحتها، في حين ساهم البعض في نقلها دون التحقق من مصداقيتها. .
فالأقاويل الباطلة، التي لا تستند على الحقائق، سوف تنعكس سلباً على الذين انتجوها ونشروها، آخذين بعين الاعتبار ان عامة الناس لا تنطلي عليهم الاكاذيب. ويرجحون مصلحتهم الوطنية على المصالح الاخرى، خصوصا بعد ان فقدوا ثقتهم بأصحاب الشعارات الزائفة والوعود البراقة، ويميلون لاختيار أصحاب المهارات والانجازات المشهودة. .
في الانتخابات معتركان متوازيان: الأول انتخابي. والثاني أخلاقي. ويتعين على المرشح الذكي ان يتحلى بالصدق والامانة في حملته الدعائية. .
ربما ينجح المرشح المحتال في إحراز بعض المكاسب المرحلية عن طريق تشويه سمعة الآخرين، لكنها لن تدوم طويلاً، وينبغي ان يعلم ان حبل الكذب قصير. ولن ترفعه أكاذيبه درجة واحدة في المضمار الأخلاقي، وربما تحط من قدره. وبالتالي فان الطريق الأسلم يتطلب الالتزام بالأدب وخوض المنافسة بشرف. فسمعة الناس ليست لعبة، ومع ذلك اتسم خطاب بعض المرشحين بنهج عدواني مناهض لكل ناجح، فيما أسس بعضهم حملته على الأخبار الكاذبة بغية حشد الدعم على حساب الإساءة للآخرين. وكل طرف يسعى للنيل من الآخر، ويسعى لتسجيل نقاط لصالحه. فتزايدت وتيرة حماسهم بهذه الادوات الرخيصة. .
ليس لدينا ادنى شك من ان انتشار الاشاعات ضد المرشحين بقصد إسقاطهم أو تشويه سمعتهم تعد احدى الجرائم الانتخابية التي يعاقب عليها القانون. .
