أكّد مستشار رئيس الوزراء رحيم الجعفري، اليوم الأحد، أن العراق يتطلع لإنتاج 12 الف ميغا واط من الطاقة الكهربائية، بحلول عام 2030.
وقال الجعفري في تصريح ، إن “الفترة التي أعقبت موتمر باريس للمناخ شهدت اهتماماً عالمياً بالتوجه صوب الطاقة النظيفة، بجميع أنواعها وحسب واقع كل دولة وما متوفر من مقومات تساعد على تبني نوع دون آخر”.
وأكد الجعفري أن “العراق يتطلع لغاية 2030 إلى إنتاج 12 الف ميغا واط، ويوجد حراك فعلي بهذا الشأن، ونتطلع إلى إنتاج 7 آلاف ميغا واط خلال السنوات القادمة، وهناك جدية في هذا الموضوع المهم”.
واضاف أن “الاهتمام بالطاقة النظيفة يأتي من أعلى المستويات في الدولة، حيث يوجد اهتمام بالطاقة الشمسية، أما طاقة الرياح فلا توجد في العراق جدوى من هذا النوع، في حين الطاقة المنتجة من حرق النفايات يمكن تبنيها في العراق”، داعيا الشركات المحلية إلى “الإفادة من هذا المفصل الذي يمكن أن يخفف من الآثار البيئة على البلاد ويوفر طاقة نحن بحاجة لها”.
